Knox Presbyterian Church was founded in 1992 as a Christ-centered, Bible-based church to meet the spiritual needs of people of all ages in Ann Arbor , Michigan and the surrounding areas. We are committed to studying and teaching the whole counsel of God, not just favorite sections and themes. We want all of life - every aspect, public and private, corporate and individual - brought under the sovereign reign of grace in Christ. The Gospel is the announcement of the reign of Christ and the resulting presence of His Kingdom. We want to be a community which reveals and expands the reach of His kingdom reign by submitting more and more of our private and public life to Him. Our aim is to do the part of Christ's mission which God has prepared for us to do (Eph. 2:10) as He brings "all things in heaven and on earth together under one head, even Christ" (Eph. 1:10).

We are both a reformed Presbyterian and broadly evangelical church. As a part of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church (EPC) denomination, we have embraced collectively the Westminster Confession of Faith and its catechisms as well as the "Essentials of Our Faith" (an EPC articulation of broadly evangelical doctrines) as that which articulates the backbone of our church doctrine. We believe that there are essentials to the Christian faith that cannot be compromised. These include (among others): the belief in the full inspiration and supreme authority of the Bible over what we believe and how we live; the belief in one God, infinitely perfect and eternally existing in three Persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit; the belief that Salvation is wholly dependent upon the work of God's sovereign grace; and the belief that the Holy Spirit has come to glorify Christ and to apply the saving work of Christ to our hearts.

As a daughter church of Trinity Presbyterian Church in Plymouth, Michigan, Knox held its first service in 1992 and became a particular church in 1995. In January of 2000 we were blessed to begin meeting in our own church building which was built by the provision of the Lord to this congregation. It is a 50,000 square foot facility with a sanctuary that seats 800. It was built on 50 acres of beautiful land that the church purchased in 1993. Our church membership is over 550 people, with 700-800 in our worship service each Sunday.
