Knox Presbyterian Church receives the Bible as the infallible, inerrant, and divinely inspired Word of God. Therefore the Bible is our supreme authority for determining what we believe and how we are to live before God, with others and in the world around us.

All of life, history and nature are under the sovereign rule of God. He created, sustains and actively governs the entire universe. After the human race's rebellion against God's rule and the consequent judgment brought upon the whole creation, God put in motion a plan to rescue and re-create the world through the kingdom inaugurated by His own Son, Jesus Christ. We are therefore committed to proclaiming the good news of Christ's reign of sovereign grace.

We study the Scriptures in a community that is both centuries old as well as contemporary. To that end, along with other churches in the Evangelical Presbyterian Church (, Knox Church officially embraces the following documents as those which best summarize the system of doctrine taught in the Bible:

Knox Church officially embraces the following documents

•   the Essentials of Our Faith
•   the Westminster Confession of Faith
•   the Westminster Shorter Catechism
•   the Westminster Larger Catechism

While these documents form the constitution of the church and the basis of our teaching and preaching, we recognize that our members come from a variety of Christian traditions (or none at all). Each of us is at different points of faith and understanding. We therefore live and study the Bible together under our motto: "In Essentials, Unity; In Non-Essentials, Liberty; In All Things, Charity."
