"They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. . . . Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved."
Acts 2: 42, 46-47

In today's world, most of us lead very busy lives. We are surrounded by people - at work, at school, while we shop, while we play….. So generally we're not really looking for ‘just more people' in our lives. But most of us are looking for meaningful relationships, authentic community.

In those relationships we want fun, we want warmth, we want significant conversation; in community we hope to find sympathy & support in hard times and celebration in the joyous moments; we want loving accountability (at least most of the time), we want commitment and sharing of life's ups and downs - in short, we want real friends. So what makes participating in small group ministry different from joining a good book group or a local service organization? What makes small group life unique and worth the investment of our coveted time and energy?

At the center of Knox small groups, we want to see Jesus. Knox small groups certainly include fun and fellowship, but they also regularly and intentionally incorporate Bible study, worship, prayer, and conversations about shared sermons and teaching. They are places where we get to know one another and share our burdens and struggles, even occasionally getting involved in the difficult things in one another's lives, supporting one another with godly encouragement, wisdom and testimony. Small groups at Knox are places where we get to "do life together" under the guidance and encouragement of the Holy Spirit, and where we get to see Christ's love and care lived out in each one of us.

If you have a desire to meet other Christians, to make "real friends", to grow through prayer, study of the Word, fellowship and service to others, to "encourage and be encouraged," we would love to have you come check out small group ministry at Knox.

Knox small groups organize their own meeting schedules and meet in homes throughout the year. If you would like to be placed in a small group, please contact Pastor Mike Frison.
