C3W hosted our very first Movie Night on January 19, when a group of women gathered at Knox to watch the 2012 version of “Les Miserables.” This movie, based on the Victor Hugo novel is a powerful, often wrenching yet beautiful portrayal of a man changed by grace. Patrice Pedersen helped us prepare to watch by outlining the story and discussing the grace/law themes that were woven throughout this work.

If you missed seeing the movie with us but want to watch it on your own, use the link and read Patrice’s introduction which will help you go below the surface to see the deep themes that are at play. Be forewarned that this movie has several very intense scenes that show great brokenness and sin, so watch with discretion. It is definitely not appropriate for young children.
