“As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.” – PROVERBS 27:17
What does it mean to be a man who is a follower of Jesus? Work, play, kids, wives, money, sex and masculine identity are just some of the issues men have questions about. But where do you find answers? Who can you talk to? And what does faith in Jesus have to do with it all anyway?
The Men’s Ministry at Knox can help. It enables men to build deepening relationships with each other to explore these questions together and encourage one another as they endeavor to be men who seek to faithfully follow Jesus as friends and brothers in Christ.
The Men’s Ministry hosts regular events throughout the year, including Bible study groups, small groups, and a retreat. For more information, connect with the contact person listed for each event. Also, see our Men’s Events list for the latest details.
Men’s Tuesday Night Bible Study (during the school year, 7:00-8:30 PM) focuses on an in-depth examination of the Bible, usually centering on a selected book of the Old or New Testament and/or a relevant topical study. It is well-suited for men high school age and older, and all levels of Bible knowledge. The study is open for new members at any time, not just at the beginning of a particular study. For more information, email Bob Cant.
Men’s Wednesday Night Bible Study (during the school year; please check the Knox calendar for meeting times) focuses on topical studies pertinent to men, with particular attention paid to the applicability of God’s Word to the topic. This is a great choice for those on the threshold of Christian faith and for all men seeking to follow Christ while grappling with challenges in today’s world. For more information, email Lewis Clark.
Men’s Saturday Morning Bible Study (8:00-10:00 AM) informally gathers to share a light breakfast and study scripture with discussion about application in men’s lives. Meetings are year-round and open to all men without advance registration. For more information, email Bob Ause, Sr.
Men’s Small Groups meet regularly to get to know one another, pray and ask each other the tough questions about their personal lives. The Men’s Ministry seeks to help match groups of three to four men in these relationships. For more information, email Pastor Mike Frison or email Lewis Clark.
Annual Men’s Retreat, which occurs on a Friday evening to Saturday afternoon in late winter/early spring, provides an opportunity for men to share fellowship, learn from God’s Word and reflect on their walk with Christ. For more information, email Tom Crane or email Lewis Clark.
