In Our Community

The church will be a community that does not live for itself but is deeply involved in the concerns of its neighborhood. It will be the church for the specific place where it lives, not the church for those who wish to be members of it—or, rather, it will be for them insofar as they are willing to be for the wider community.” – LESSLIE NEWBIGIN

We are for Ann Arbor and for the greater Ann Arbor area. We are not a church for someplace, every place, or any place. We are a church for this place, the place where God has called us. We want to be a church in our community and for our community. Here are some ways we reach out to those around us as a church and in partnership with other agencies.

From the campus of the University of Michigan to Hope Clinic in Ypsilanti, from serving lunch at the Salvation Army to visiting the elderly in nursing homes, the Knox community is committed to bringing the good news of Jesus to our city and its surrounding communities. Consider coming with us as we go out in Jesus’ name.
