When reading Mark’s account of the life and ministry of Jesus of Nazareth, it seems as though even his closest companions lived with fear and uncertainty rather than faith and joy. Sound familiar?

Our class will examine numerous vignettes and themes from Mark’s gospel, with no assumption of prior biblical knowledge. We hope to explore its relevance for those who are completely skeptical about the Christian faith, build the confidence of those who are new to faith in Christ, and strengthen those who feel overwhelmed when the waves of life are threatening.
