C3Women Bible Studies
New opportunities for women's Bible study and fellowship.

Wednesday Morning Bible Study

This fall we’ll be studying John’s gospel beginning on Wednesday, September 16 via Zoom. This initial hour-long virtual meeting will be followed by a “socially distanced” outdoor picnic at 11:00 at Jennifer Donovan’s home (bring your own food and beverage and a blanket or chair).

A typical Zoom morning runs from 9:30-11:30, beginning with a short greeting time, a hymn, then large group discussion led by Jennifer Donovan, followed by more intimate discussion, sharing and prayer in small table groups. Join us for this rich study as we get to know Jesus and His mission more deeply. We’ll be guided in this ten-week study with materials published by Core Christianity, a ministry of The White Horse Inn. Click here for a description of the study. (Study guide cost is $10 but scholarships are readily available!)

Please join us! You will find a warm welcome and have opportunity to “meet” with other women around God’s Word even during this exceptional COVID season!

Wednesday Evening Bible Study

Our Wednesday evening group will be concluding our study in the “Seeing Jesus in the Old Testament” series by gifted Bible teacher, Nancy Guthrie. This year’s study, The Wisdom of God, focuses on Job, Psalms, Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, and Song of Solomon “with the goal of understanding it in the way that Jesus himself taught the disciples to read and understand the Old Testament: with him at the center. As we see not only the wise principles for living in these biblical books, but also the wise person they point to, it will help us to understand the person and work of Christ more clearly which will prepare us to worship him more fully.” We’ll begin with our first Zoom meeting on September 16, from 7:00-8:30.

Each week we’ll deepen friendships via Zoom, learn together as Diane Murtonen and Heather Milot lead us in a discussion of the lesson materials and pray for each other. Every second week we’ll watch a teaching video by study author, Nancy Guthrie. Register below to join the Wednesday evening study, then please order your book so that you’ll be ready to dive into this rich study! (Please note that book scholarships are available if that would be a help.)

Moms, Tots & Beyond (this year… Moms, Technology & Bible)

Moms, could you use some rest? In line with Knox’s focus on Sabbath, the Moms, Tots, and Beyond group (MTB) will study the book Gentle and Lowly: The Heart of Christ for Sinners and Sufferers. This book draws out Scripture that reveals the compassionate love of Christ for us. The teaching team will video-record thoughts inspired by the book, which we hope will lead to meaningful individual reflection and small group discussion. With video teaching and virtual small group meetings for now, MTB isn’t just on Thursdays anymore!  Learn more about the plan for this fall, as well as a drive-by kick-off event on September 17th. We hope that you’ll join us in growing in Christ!
