Beginning Wednesday, January 13 at 9:30 AM via Zoom, women will gather to dive into the rich New Testament Letter to the Hebrews. Intended as a both a warning and an encouragement to its original readers to hold fast to the gospel of Jesus Christ in the face of trials and discouragements, we too will see how Jesus is the only One who is worthy of our allegiance! Weaving together themes from the Old Testament, we will see how Jesus is the fulfillment of all God’s promises and provisions for His people. Whether you’re new to Bible study or have been at it for years, join us as we seek to “run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith” (Hebrews 12:1-2) as we enter a new year, fraught as always with uncertainty, because “Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever!” (Hebrews 13:8)

Wednesday Evening Bible Study

Our Wednesday evening group (7:-8:30 PM) will be concluding our study in the “Seeing Jesus in the Old Testament” series by gifted Bible teacher, Nancy Guthrie. This year’s study, The Wisdom of God, focuses on Job, Psalms, Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, and Song of Solomon “with the goal of understanding it in the way that Jesus himself taught the disciples to read and understand the Old Testament: with him at the center. As we see not only the wise principles for living in these biblical books, but also the wise person they point to, it will help us to understand the person and work of Christ more clearly which will prepare us to worship him more fully.”

Each week we’ll deepen friendships via Zoom, learn together as Diane Murtonen and Heather Milot lead us in a discussion of the lesson materials and pray for each other. Every second week we’ll watch a teaching video by study author, Nancy Guthrie. Register below to join the Wednesday evening study, then please order your book so that you’ll be ready to dive into this rich study! (Please note that book scholarships are available if that would be a help.)

Moms, Tots & Beyond (this year… Moms, Technology & Bible)

Moms, could you use some rest? In line with Knox’s focus on Sabbath, the Moms, Tots, and Beyond group (MTB) will study the book Gentle and Lowly: The Heart of Christ for Sinners and Sufferers. This book draws out Scripture that reveals the compassionate love of Christ for us. The teaching team will video-record thoughts inspired by the book, which we hope will lead to meaningful individual reflection and small group discussion. With video teaching and virtual small group meetings for now, MTB isn’t just on Thursdays anymore!  We hope that you’ll join us in growing in Christ!
