Youth Ministry
Welcome to the Turning Point
About Knox Youth
Knox Youth Ministry is a community in which young people will experience loving fellowship with other students and adult leaders. They will be encouraged to grow deeper relationships with Christ in worship, studying scripture, and practicing spiritual disciplines. Students will cooperate with each other and as participants in the Body of Christ at large, in service to others and the Lord. In all of this, we participate in God’s Kingdom on Earth.
Youth ministry is a space for 7th-12th graders in our community to encounter and grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus, and learn to live out the way of Jesus in their time and culture.
It is our hope that through our Sunday morning and Wednesday Night gatherings, our youth would be built up in our church community and empowered to be active, thriving believers and members of Knox.
Sunday mornings
7th-12th graders are welcomed to join us from 11:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. in fellowship focused on forming us into Christ’s likeness. That might look like studying scripture together, discussing critical questions about faith, life, and God, or simply spending time with God in prayer, song, or Scripture meditation.
Wednesday nights
7th-12th Graders will gather from 7-9 p.m. for some fun activities and a space to unwind from the demands of school and life. Amidst the fun we’ll have a time to direct our thoughts to Jesus through a story, lesson, or discussion. This is a perfect place for youth to connect with each other and to invite new folks into our community.
Small Groups
Youth are invited and encouraged to be a part of a small group. Knox Youth Ministry small groups are organized by grade and gender peers led by committed mentoring adults from the Knox congregation.
Mission Trips and Retreats
Youth can participate in Jesus’ call to serve others through missions trips. They’ll join ministry partners to learn about and practice the work that God is doing in the world by meeting the physical and spiritual needs of others.
Youth retreats designed to remove the distractions of everyday life so that students can be focused on seeking God in an intentional way. Retreats are awesome opportunities for students to grow closer to one another and to grow closer with Jesus.
